Frenchie Friday - Aug 16, 2024

Bonjour tout le monde ! I hope everyone is doing well and did fall to Earth too briskly after the last two weeks of Olympic excitement! I tried to watch the closing ceremony on Sunday, but after an hour I was over it. As my French hubbie proclaimed, "do we need an instruction manual to understand this???"

Emily in Paris is back! I watched the 5 episodes last night and was disappointed. What I loved about the first 3 seasons is the interplay of Emily with Paris - learning about French culture and language, watching all the faux pas she experienced, that was a big part of why I liked the show and I feel it is missing in Season 4. But I do love the Audrey Hebpurn looks she sports! Beautiful!

I also get a huge smile when I see Brad Pitt and George Clooney in marinière shirts!

Guess what? I PASSED my French test for B1 certification! I am on my way to finally get my French citizenship - just a few thousands of pieces of paper to gather and submit, but it's happening!
